Apologies to all my followers & blogging friends for not posting lately. As many of you know, at the end of last year I became unwell. Consequently, the new year was a terrifying start after being diagnosed with colon cancer & undergoing emergency surgery.
This week is being taken up with my second chemo session Mon-Fri, but today I'm awake early due to a little discomfort. What better time to catch up with everybody? So no excuse not to post & catch up with what you've all been doing!!!
I have so many photos of dishes cooked up last year that I've not yet posted. I'm sorting through said photos and will be posting again very soon.
However, in the meantime, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their recent comments & well wishes. It's so uplifting to receive such support from everyone and I just wanted to let you all know how appreciative I am.
Due to my circumstances I've not had the opportunity to invite & interview a fellow blogger yet this year. Next month (April) is the 1st birthday of my blog and I'll be posting my next interview then, so watch this space for some interesting reading.
I have however, been keeping an eye on you all & been reading most of your blog posts with interest. Unfortunately, with the constant trips into Malaga City (1 hour journey each way) for not only treatments, but various appointments with docs, tests & scans; I've not had much enthusiasm or time for cooking & blogging.
We're getting into a routine now & after a receiving a P.E.T scan result this week I have some good news to report.
It seems there is a lesion showing at the lower part of the right lung. It's common for colon cancer to spread to lungs and/or liver so the oncologist requested a P.E.T scan which is an exploratory in depth scan of the area. We visited the oncologist Tuesday this week for the result and it appears to be nothing to worry about at this stage. She has requested a follow up scan in a few months to see if there is any activity, but in the meantime we're hoping the chemo & radiotherapy will sort it out.
First bit of good news this year so far. Happy days!!!!
