Mum opening her presents on the morning of her birthday
I'm a bit late in posting this but here goes.
Monday 5th April was my mother-in-laws 70th birthday. As friends of my in-laws were flying back to UK on the day before, my father-in-law arranged a celebration on saturday 3rd April. There were, I think, about 25 of us. The venue was a favourte chinese restaurant of many of the attendees.
It was a fab night, thoroughly enjoyed by all. The photos below show how everyone is enjoying themselves.
I know, I know. Where are the photos of the fabulous food? Sorry, we were to busy eating & enjoying ourselves and before I new it the food was finished and I'd not had time to photograph any of it
I must tell you though that Dawn was supposed to be celebrating her birthday in the UK. This will now prove how considerate, thoughtful & amazing my in-laws actually are.
Due to my unfortunate illness earlier in the year, my in-law's decided they should be with us in Spain to help out. Not that there is a great deal they can actually do, but they decided to give my husband a break by doing a lot of the trips with me back & forth for chemo/radiotherapy treatment.
I'm eternally grateful to them for this & all they have done in the past too. I bet there's not many people out there who's in-law's would do the same.
How lucky am I?
Apologies to my sister-in-law, Tracey. She was planning a surprise party for her mum & had to phone everyone to cancel.
Unfortunately, Tracey was unable to be with us for the birthday celebrations. However, she did visit briefly in March & it was great to see her too.
